How ordering works.

Every composition is blended by this studio. Where a perfume is described as an interpretation of a house — “inspired by”, or “interprets” — it is our own recipe working towards that character. It is not the original, it is not sold as the original, and it arrives in a Perfume Studio flacon, not the house’s bottle. We are not connected to, endorsed by, or acting for any of the houses named.

House names are used only to describe what a composition smells like. All trademarks belong to their owners.

You must be 18 or over to place an order, or be ordering with the permission of a parent or guardian.

An account is optional. If you make one, keep your password private — you are responsible for what is done with your account. If you think someone else has used it, message the studio straight away.

Choosing a size and pressing Place order sends the studio a request. Nothing is charged at that moment. A perfumer confirms the total and the delivery with you, usually on WhatsApp, and the order is only agreed once they have.

We may decline an order — most often because something has just sold out, or a delivery address is outside what our courier covers. You will be told, and nothing will have been taken.

Prices are in Sri Lankan rupees and include any applicable taxes. The price you are shown at checkout is the price the studio works from.

We take care to describe and price everything correctly. If a price or description turns out to be wrong, the studio will tell you before your order goes ahead, and you can cancel for a full refund.

Payment is by bank transfer. The studio sends you its account details quoting your order reference, and blending begins once the transfer clears.

Where card payment is offered at checkout, it is processed by our payment provider, PayHere. Your card details are entered on PayHere’s secure page and never reach the studio. By paying, you confirm that you are authorised to use the card or account you pay with.

Island-wide delivery is LKR 580 and arrives within 24 hours on working days; collection from the studio is free.

Delivery times are what our courier quotes us and are not guaranteed. If something is delayed the studio will tell you. You can check where your order is at any time — find your order here.

You can cancel at any time until your order is dispatched, for a full refund — message the studio with your reference. Once it has left the studio it can no longer be cancelled. A blend made to your own brief cannot be cancelled once work on it has started.

If a parcel arrives damaged, leaking, or not what you ordered, message the studio within three days with your reference and a photograph. It will be replaced or refunded.

Perfume is worn, so an open bottle cannot be resold and we cannot take it back simply because the scent was not to taste. This is why the studio offers the smallest decant and will let you try a composition before you commit to a full flacon — please do use that.

Although our perfumes are high concentrate, we advise expecting 6–8 hours of longevity, because how long a scent lasts depends mainly on your skin type and the environment. This is the product working as intended, not a fault.

Refunds are made only to the original payment method — the same card or bank account the order was paid from — within seven working days of being approved. The full details are in our refund policy.

A composition adjusted to your brief is made for you specifically and cannot be resold, so it cannot be returned. The studio will agree the brief and the price with you in advance before making anything.

Mark the order as a gift at checkout and the studio leaves the invoice out of the parcel. The person who placed the order remains the one we deal with about it.

The photographs, writing, logo and design of this website belong to The Perfume Studio (Private) Limited. Please do not copy or reuse them without asking first.

Every product page lists the notes a composition is built from. If you are sensitive to fragrance or to any ingredient, try a little on your skin first, and stop using it if it irritates.

As far as the law allows, the studio’s responsibility for an order is limited to the amount you paid for it, and it is not responsible for indirect losses. Nothing here takes away rights you have under Sri Lankan consumer law.

The studio may update these terms from time to time. The terms that apply to an order are the ones shown here when it was placed.
